Notes can be a very versatile and useful tool for organizers and activists.  Note types (1) are predetermined.  There are systemwide and local note types.  When logged in to a particular local you will be able to create notes of systemwide types or the types for that particular local only.

The create date (2) is automatically added.

The alert date (3) is used to bring notification to the home page of upcoming notes that need attention.  Private notes (4) will only alert for the user they were created by, they are also only visible to the user that created them.  Non-private notes will appear to anyone logged into that local.  

The title (5) is an arbitrary tag for a note.

Note content (6) can be left blank or contain additional information about the note you are creating or editing.
